About the Engineers Ring

What does the University of Auckland Engineers ring represent?

The University of Auckland Faculty of Engineering is New Zealand’s leading school of engineering, recognised internationally for excellence in teaching and research. Graduates of its bachelors degree programme receive a qualification in one of nine specialist areas of engineering: biomedical, chemical and materials, civil and environmental, computer systems, electrical and electronic, engineering science, mechanical, mechatronics, or software. The Engineers Ring has been designed to reflect the prestige of this qualification, and the significance of its achievement. It is exclusive to engineering graduates of The University of Auckland.

Auckland University Engineers Association

The University of Auckland Engineers ring is an initiative of the Auckland University Engineers Association (AUEA), one of the oldest alumni associations in New Zealand. Established in 1957, the association was started with a vision to connect former engineering students, encourage professional engineering as a career of first choice, and to support the Faculty through the promotion of philanthropy.
